Position: Localization Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Localization Engineer to join our growing team. As a Localization Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our localization processes, using your technical expertise to optimize our translation workflows and tools. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with project managers, linguists, and other team members to understand project requirements and develop effective localization strategies

- Analyze source files and identify potential issues that may affect localization, such as text expansion, formatting, and encoding

- Develop and maintain localization tools and scripts to automate and streamline the translation process

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to localization, including file compatibility, encoding, and formatting

- Perform quality checks on localized content to ensure accuracy and consistency

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in localization technology to continuously improve our processes and tools

- Provide technical support and training to team members on localization tools and processes

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in localization engineering or a similar role

- Strong understanding of localization processes and tools, such as CAT tools, translation memory, and terminology management systems

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java

- Experience with localization file formats, such as XML, HTML, and JSON

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
